About Practical Cozy Travel

Hi! I’m glad you’re here.

The Story Behind This Site

Practical Cozy Travel exists because most travel advice isn’t actually written for people like me.

I’m a comfort-first, budget-conscious traveler who cares deeply about being organized and prepared — but I’m not interested in roughing it, and I’m definitely not interested in lugging a 50-pound suitcase through cobblestone streets in Belgium. I travel to enjoy myself. I want to arrive at my destination feeling good, with everything I need, and without having checked a bag.

Over time, I’ve figured out what actually works: the bags that fit in overhead bins AND under seats, the walking shoes that last a full day in Paris, the packing cubes that genuinely change how you travel, and the destinations in Europe that are worth every bit of planning they require.

This site is where I share all of it — honestly and practically.

My Travel Philosophy

Comfort isn’t a luxury — it’s how you actually enjoy your trip. I believe:

  • Your gear should work as hard as you do. The right bag, the right shoes, the right packing system make a real difference.
  • Carry-on only is achievable for most trips. It just takes the right list and the right gear.
  • Budget-conscious doesn’t mean cheap. Some things are worth spending more on. I’ll always tell you which ones.
  • Real bodies deserve real recommendations. I don’t pretend everyone is a size 4 and 5’6″.
  • Slow down and enjoy it. You don’t have to see everything. You just have to see what matters to you.
